You can alternate them on your feet, this ensures that you don’t develop those big gaping holes where your big toe always sits in one shoe. I wash mine in the washing machine when they get dirty, it works since they are canvas. Wearing your tights under the shoes may also help absorb some of the sweat that contributes to ruining the shoes. Other than that, there is nothing else really you can do. When you work hard in class, your shoes wear out. 
It’s a good thing they are not too expensive. In the past, I have had my holey, disgusting ballet shoes for class, and a nicer pair for performances and events.

My 3 year old son’s pediatrician has told that my son has flat feet and that it is better if he wears corrective shoes from now on. His foot leans away from the ankle and he also has flat feet. The pediatrician told me that at this stage my son doesn’t need a podiatrist. I trust my pediatrician, and if she says I don’t need to see a podiatrist now, I will defer it for now. She suggested that I buy a shoes called “Naturino”. Apparently, it was very effective for some other child with a similar problem. But when I checked it out on the website, I was not happy with the choices available online. I would like to visit a store and try out the shoes on my son before I buy them. If there are any other shoes that are effective, I would like to know please. Can someone please tell me where I can buy corrective shoes in New Jersey, USA? Thank You.

I had flat feet as a child and I got special inserts made that have arch support so that I could put them in whatever shoes I wanted to. There was a little specialist shop in my city that our doctor refered us to that made custom inserts. Look around ask around, I’m sure that there’s something like that near you too.

If your jazz shoes are hurting when you are dancing/standing still, I recommend you buy a new pair.
But, if they are hurting when you are standing on tip-toes, but dont hurt when dancing at all, then they are fine (they probably just hurt because of gravity, your toes are being squished down at the front of the shoe)

This next video is by an Australian Aboriginal man named Archie Roach. He is singing a song of a young girl who was taken away from her home and put into a residential school. The Australian natives experience is identical to the North American Indian experience. Their present day lives are also identical. A visit to the Secwepemc Museum and Heritage Park. This museum is on the site of a 7000 year old Secwepemc encampment. Over 70 depressions were found in the ground along the riverbank from old Secwepemc Kukwele homes. Those are the subterranean winter homes that they used to live in. There is a full size reconstructed kukwele home that you can walk in and see what it looks like. These were subterreanean winter homes used by the Secwepemc people through the ages. The museum has reconstructed a village where you can walk through and enter life size replicas. You can see the different men’s entrance from a ladder coming through the top. You can learn about the different traditional plant uses. There is a trail you can walk down and see different plants, birds, wildlife. You might even spot some Simon Fraser University archaeology students are down doing an excavation on site. they come every summer to do an archaeology dig. Inside the museum the ticket includes a video about the Secwepemc people and see different artifacts on display throughout the museum.
